January Status

Well, 3,000 short of 10,000 for Jano.

Didn't get as much done this year as last.


Water--

Chapt 12. 

Didn't have them kidnapped yet. But added a new wrinkle. Came to me as I was writing so I went with it. Maybe the killer gets upset that they don't act as he wants them to. Hmmmmm.

We'll see what happens with this new wrinkle.


Flames---

Santino is going to definitely show her true colors in this novelette. At least to Nick and Sara--and through her actions to Elliot.  She shows up with an ex and butts into their holiday.  She makes blatant plays for Nick as well as subtle ones. Sara's not going to put up with her for long!


I did a cover for Aether. It's different from the others as Air/Wind is the book that makes Sara a Shaman and brings it full-circle. Aether is set months later when they get married--human style. Sort of an epilogue. I guess.

Or Maybe a Start of a new series?   :)

Brief Status

On Chapt. 11 in Water!

Finally.

Still debating if I want the killer to kidnap them at the end of this chapt. It would shorten the novel which I don't really want but it's stuck in my head and that's what it seems my brain wants to happen. So we'll see.

I also decided that aside from the brief mention, Santino isn't going to be in this book. She will be in Flames though. So that will 'make up' for her not being in this one.  She's going to figure in Flames, a bit in Waters, and fatally in Wind/Air.  I don't know if I want to kill her off in Wind/Air but she will be attacked by the killer.

Decisions, Decisions.

:)

As I said, I'm a Pantser so I just go where the words take me but I see scenes in my head for each book. They're not always in order though. So I have to organize them in my head for each book to get them in order and sometimes there are two scenes for one section.  Which means even I don't always know what's going to happen next in my book.

Which is where I'm at now in Water. I see two endings for chapt. 11 and I don't know which one will win out right now.

So that's the status so are on Water.

Flames and Wind/Air-- Haven't touched them.

Tail and Claws-- Read over Claws again and straighten out a few things. It might turn out to be a Novelette. 

Still under 10,000 for Jano and only a few days to go so I guess I best get to it. :)

Well, sex and cuddling. 

Body VII will have a message or be a message to the FBI. I still have a bit to work out with that though she's already dead. I'm not sure how I want to play it.  Body VI or VII will be a member of the FBI's CSU....

I might have the bad guy jump the gun and kidnap Sara and Nick before he kills VIII or IX.

There are so many directions it can go from here that I'm just as eager to see where my mind wants to go from here.

I did tell you a long time ago that I'm a pantser.  I know the beginning and the end but the in-between...

I'm like the reader--just following where the words take me.

Mid-Jano Status

Not very far along in Jano. Still under 10,000 so far.

I plan to get 1600 words today.

Water--

Chapt 10.

I plan to finish this chapter and at least start on 11. I want to finish 11 as well and get on to 12, but we'll see what happens. 

Another body--VI and a hint to VII.

Steward is getting suspicious/upset. He knows they ain't tellin' him everything.  One of his junior agents was sent back 'cause of personal connection so he feels wrong-footed already.

Wrote a blurb and sent it and the basic cover to Sharon for review/opinion.  What do you think?

My books have been shipped so I should get them today or tomorrow.

I already got three buyers here. :)

Only got about 1300 words for Jano and it's already the 12th so I had best get going if I want to make at least the minimum of 10,000. If I count the words I put in the two bibles, I have over 2,000 words. I don't know if I should count them or not. Hmmmm.


I'm on Chapt 9 in Water.

 I'm not sure how I want the confrontation between the FBI and the killer's agent cousin to go. More drama if she doesn't fess up, but I think I'll have her partner say--isn't that where your cousin works--and see where the chips fall. :)

Also another body is going to show up.  After all he does tell them, though not in so many words, that he will kill again. 

Four bodies actually will show up all together, though not all at once.

And not all of them at the beach. 


Flames--

Added a bit to the bible.

Santino is going to show up in this one and make a rather obvious play for Nick.

She will be shot down of course!



Air/Wind--

Added to the bible here as well.

Santino shows up again, but this time when she makes a play, someone else takes offense.

And that's not good for Santino--at all.  :)


So that's the status so far of my books.

Jano2017

Here at Jano and working on my third book Water Ferrier.

Or more correctly on this blog.  LOL

Anyway, I'm almost done with Chapt 8.

Setting up Deadly Waters vacation. Elliot needs an explanation too so part of DWaters may include him. I don't know how I want to work that. I thought perhaps a weekend with the three of them, a dead body, then Nick & Sara sailing off. The couple shouldn't have all the fun in these stories. LOL!

I straightened out Flames a bit so I can work on it when I get stuck on Water.

I want to have Water out by May and Flames out before November. I also plan to have half of Wind/Air done before the end of the year.

I plan for 2017 to be better than 2016.

At least book and money wise.   :)

First Status of the year

Looks like two people bought my book!

Deadly Sands came out Tuesday in Kindle and Saturday in paperback.

Ordered a few for the people at my housing. Two want one. Hope the order don't take long to get here.


Water--

On chapt 8 still. Haven't really worked on it the last few days.

Nick and Sara are going through a change in their bond since she acquired a third element. It is deeper and I will explore it more in Waters, but I'm setting ground work in Water.


Flames and Waters--

Getting Flames ready to work on this month with Jano.
Waters still just mainly a bible.


Jano--

Working on Flames and Water for Jano, I decided so if I can't do one I'll work on the other. Saturday is mega-write-in. I plan to enjoy the day and not think of anything but writing and networking with my writing friends. 

Only did 254 words so far this month and it's already the 5th so I got to get a move on.  Real Life needs to stop cutting into my writing time! :)
