Bit of the idea slipped into the story but most of it is still percolating. Not telling me much just that I need this bit here for later. I got the gist of what the idea is and I think it will be good, though a lot of it won't be revealed in this book. Just the beginning.
I'm a pantser. But I do do book bibles so I guess plantser is a better term. I write the book idea, character names, the plot, and scenes down in the bible. However I don't outline anything. I just go with the flow. Tangents come to me while I write. Sometimes I follow them, other times I don't. The percolation is the thing. Hard to explain. But it's the deciding factor.
Book 1 is really a prequel of the series, setting up things for Book 2. All the main characters are finally present in Book 2. Meet the MCs
In 3 months (or maybe 4 😏 ) you'll get to read about Hanlan's next venture in the Del Mulanti Ruv's world. Been a bit of a delay. However if you haven't already, you can catch up with Raven Manor.
Book 2 (The Riven) is coming along slowly but surely and should be done by the new deadline. The Ruv and Hanlan want to tell the tale their way, not mine. And my publisher is booked up.
Book 3(Remnant) is going to go more into the Ruv's history and make some of them look more into themselves. Though I've added some more history already in Book 2 than I originally wanted but the characters were insistent. I just hope it doesn't come across as an info dump.
Book 4 (The Revenant) goes into the history of city's Hunters a bit. Ambition can be deadly as the Hunters--and the Ruv--find out. And you should leave sleeping dogs lie.
This is all the planned story ideas I have for the Ghostwolf series so far. However I have a vague idea for a Book 5 where the Ruv reveal themselves to the human world. But these four are all I plan to do right now before switching to work on another series. This series has an overall arc and the arc in each book moves it closer to the reveal at the end. But unless Book 5 reveals itself more that reveal may be a while. Hopefully by the time I am done with Book 4, it will have informed me that it is ready to be written.
