Progress How Novel 88

 Finally finished The Elemental Detective. It's sent off with the cover. Mid June is when it's to be released.

Getting some page reads with Raven Manor and The Riven. Not a lot--about 200 to 500 a day. But definitely better than none.

I will still update these blogs periodically. When new books come out definitely. These are still my babies and I won't desert them. But they'll definitely get dusty.

Progress How Novel 87

 The deadline for The Elemental Detective is coming up fast. I'm still not quite done. The final confrontation is coming up though. This is definitely a prequel novella to a series.

I've had 3 sales and quite a few page reads for Book 2 of Ghostwolf as well as some reads for Book 1. The reads equal about 3 and 1/2 books so that's not bad for the first week. At least I think so. I've been posting a bit on Facebook and set up Amazon category ads for Book 2.

I was in my local newspaper. May is the 7th anniversary of my first book, Earth Reader, book 1 of Elemental Voice series as well a being the publishing of my 13th book. Synergy with it also being the month with a Friday the 13th. I got a congrats flyer from my county's senator. Seems he reads our paper-- and it is election time.

Progress How Novel 86

Book 2 (The Riven) is out!

The ebook anyway. Paperback is still in review.  Updated 5/19: Paperback is live now.

Book 3 of Ghostwolf is my next writer's block story so it will probably be out next year.  Though probably later in the year.

I got the new business cards. I didn't order a lot, but hopefully I'll have enough for the Conference in June.

The new website is still a work-in-progress and got a ways to go. More about that later when it's further along.

Progress How Novel 85

 The Book Goddess has worked her magic and Book 2 is formatted, cover is set, and both have been uploaded.  I ordered the proof.  So I should get it between 7 and 14 days depending on Amazon shipping.

I also ordered new business cards. They should only take 7 to 10 days.

The reason I ordered new cards is because I now have a website. It's a work-in-progress and got a ways to go but it is started and live. More about that later when it's further along.

I'm still working on The Elemental Detective novella. It's giving me hints that it wants to be bigger than it first told me it was going to be. The word count is approaching the original number I thought it would be but that idea is still percolating and the characters are saying they have more to tell.  And the new deadline is not that far away.

Progress How Novel 84

The Book Goddess got back to me and Book 2 is in the formatting queue for next week.  Meaning the book will be out soon. How soon?  Maybe that week for the ebook.

So in celebration I have decided to reveal the cover. 

The wolf of course represents the Ruv, but the Raven represents the wild card, the Shavora. And a certain Shavora at that. The Riven tells a bit of my world's history and why the Ruv became the Ruv. But the Ruv weren't the only ones riven then. However that's another story. :)

I'm still working on The Elemental Detective novella. Spoke with the Book Goddess about it and pushed its deadline out a bit. My muse is still being cagey about the whole thing and the characters are still only telling me a little at a time. So I decided to give it more time to percolate.
